Lab 1: LaTeX

Learning Objectives

After completing this lab, you should be able to do the following.

1. Compile a basic LaTeX document into a PDF using Overleaf.

2. Identify the preamble and body of a LaTeX source file.

3. Typeset mathematics for calculus, linear algebra, and set theory.

4. Use common commands for sections, lists, figures, and tables.

5. Find unfamiliar LaTeX commands using reliable symbol references.

For this lab only, turn in a PDF file generated through LaTeX. In each exercise, add content to the same LaTeX file.
